I'm Luke Brown
After training horses for nearly 10 years for the public, I'm turning my focus into helping horse owners create a fun and safe relationship with their horse. My wife, Stacy, our children, and I now live in Apache Junction, AZ and are giving private horsemanship lessons to those seeking to grow, have fun, and become more safe in their relationship with their horse.
I provide 4-hour horsemanship lessons for up to 3 people at a time. Looking for 1-on-1 help? I can work with you individually. Looking to save some money while still getting so much value in a small group of up to 3 people? I keep groups small to maximize my time with you and make sure every moment counts as you create the horse of your dreams!

We believe a true partnership begins with transparency. Here is what to expect regarding our standards for safety, equine welfare, and required rider proficiency before stepping into the arena.
Do I need prior riding experience to begin?
Not at all. Our programs are uniquely tailored to your current level, whether you are stepping into the arena for the first time or looking to refine years of experience. We prioritize safety and foundational understanding above all else.
How do you ensure the safety of both horse and rider?
Safety is the cornerstone of our philosophy. We carefully pair you with a horse suited to your temperament and skill level. Additionally, all initial sessions begin with groundwork to establish mutual trust and clear communication before mounting.
What is your approach to the horses' welfare?
Our horses are our partners, not just schoolmasters. They receive premium care, routine veterinary and farrier check-ups, and ample pasture turnout time. We strictly monitor their workload to ensure they remain mentally engaged and physically sound.
What should I wear for my first session?
Please wear long, comfortable trousers and sturdy, closed-toe boots with a small heel. We provide all necessary safety equipment, including certified riding helmets, which are strictly mandatory for all mounted activities at the academy.
Can I bring my own horse to the academy?
Absolutely. We welcome outside horses for training partnerships. We offer dedicated assessment sessions to evaluate your horse's current foundation, understand their unique disposition, and outline a progressive training plan together.
